Theme: “Nurturing Imagination”
They Make Us Believe
Which of course gets us thinking about costumes. All the costumes piled up in our kids' dress-up bins, and all the costumes they dream of when they are busy picturing themselves as glorious royalty or brave firefighters or twinkling fairies or sober m.d.'s.
And it gets us thinking about imagination, that amazingly powerful force in any young child's life, and what we as parents can do to nurture, protect and encourage it.
Because watching our children play make-believe (on Halloween or any other day) with their utter and beautiful concentration is a magical sight. They make us parents believe again that a little imagination can take us wherever we want to go too. What a gift!
So that's what we'll be exploring this month. Do join us!
